I've been stressing out so much. I've been spiralling down a dangerous thought path. I've been praying so hard about it lately, just earlier this afternoon in fact, pouring my soul crying out loud again. Amazing the way I've stumbled upon this video. It's the sign I've asked for. It was God talking to me. Not subtly or round about, like how I was complaining earlier, as He usually does with me. But, directly, like I've prayed for. My prayer has been answered - Ole!

Skinniessss!

I was youtubing earlier on how to make pants, but somehow or another got distracted, and started looking at videos on how to make skinnies.

Remembering I've a pair of jeans I wish were skinnier, and the tutes didn't look too difficult, I decided it's time I make my dream jeans happen.

The offending pair of jeans:

Whenever I go look at the mirror and complain about these jeans, Jian would go: "But baby! They are already skinny! How skinny do you want it? You girls."

On hind side, looking at this photo now, the jeans do look rather skinny. Yet, it still feels slightly baggy! Especially lower calf region.

Oh jeggings, how you have spoilt me!

See looseness near ankle? I'm not being ridiculous here.

DIY ultra skinnies :D

I've actually trimmed from hip down all the way to ankles, disregarding what some tutes say of only from knees/calf down. I've also hemmed my jeans.

Man, learning how to sew is probably the best thing I've picked up. Now, I've got another pair of slightly baggy washed jeans I literally haven't worn in years (since before uni days!) because it's too baggy.

Guess what I'm gonna do with it? ;)

I'm feeling very accomplished today! I got done all that I've set out to do:

A pair of space shoes for inter-galactic travelling

& an attempt at marbling my nails

Man, that was some tedious business. I don't know if I'd do marbling again. And if I do, I'll be doing it in a better ventilated room, I most certainly should be ambidextrous of superhero like capacity, and definitely have some latex gloves on me.

Today is one of those days where I'm very proud of my outfit. I've managed to pull together a whole new ensemble from items I've never thought to pair up with before.

Yay for staples in your closets!

Lace blouse, double scoop leotard, pair of shorts I haven't worn in ages, and mom's old skinny belt.


(& for photobooth, when your bf can't snap photos for you because he's busy at his new job, and for when you're too lazy to find where in your unkept room you've stored your digital camera.)

Papi's birthday is coming up in a couple of days, and nothing (I'd like to think) says "I love you!" more than self-made presents!

Bought one of those ah pek 3-in-1 shirt packs, and thought to make him some RAD tie-dyes.

Couldn't resist the urge of making one for myself. It's just much too much to let Jian be all psychedelic and groovy on his own..

Also, I've attempted to create a dip-dye halter dress out of the last remaining shirt, but the "dress" is way too short + hoochie-mama to wear out. Guess it's for Jian's eyes only.. OoOoo, more pressies for him ;P

Got busy with another sew project, this time, a mountain top. You can't really see it from the picture, but I've sewn on a breast pocket too on the right.

With so much sewing lately, it feels like I've neglected my drawing. 'Remedy' is this week's Illustration Friday topic. Maybe I should take a whack at it.
